Your Daily Dose of Detox (Recipe Inside)

I had 3 dinner events this weekend including my own client Xmas party. I went to a wedding, one of the best ones I’ve been to I gotta say, and another banquet hall Xmas dinner. I had been anticipating this weekend for a while! It channeled my inner gluttonous monster!

I had some alcohol, I ate tonnes of bread probably equivalent to 2 loaves bahahha, and that wedding cake fondant! (I’m not a sweets person, more salt, but that fondant got me like ?), and the late night buffet included beaver tails! ?

Delicious, fun, and left me feeling pretty gross.

I drink lemon water every morning but I needed something more powerful to feel like myself again ??

This concoction is an amazing detox/purifying morning tonic. I really want some green tea right now but drinking it on an empty stomach is not a good idea – can lead to nausea. I also don’t wanna eat yet cus I’m gonna work out – but I need something.

Enter this secret tonic!

It may sound gross but you can dilute it as much as you need. But it’s perfect for me cus I LOVE ginger and spice ??

Even if you didn’t eat like a pig like me, you need this in your daily life! This combination of ingredients works by decongesting, firing up the circulatory system, and warming up the body. Many of the ingredients also have anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties that have been recognized in scientific studies.
Drinking in the morning will allow you to absorb the nutrients quickly and get your digestive system moving. It can also aid in healing cold and flu symptoms. There are many variations of this drink but this is what I used:

What you need:
1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice (real lemon fruit, not 1 tbsp filtered bottle lemon juice ?)
1 small Slice of ginger
1 tbsp Turmeric
Dash of Cayenne (or more cus in just like SPICY EVERYTHING)
Hot water
Add some raw honey for some sweetness too. I don’t have any nor do I like anything sweet in the morning so I left it out.

What to do:
Mix in a glass. Drink in morning before eating

  • Apple Cider Vinegar is full of enzymes and good bacteria. It contains acetic acid, which has been shown to lower blood pressure up to 6 percent. It can also help eat up the starches if you do eat grains in your diet.
  • Lemon juice helps balance blood sugar and has an alkaline effect on your body helping to regulate PH. It also contains vitamin C.
  • Cayenne pepper has been shown to drop blood pressure, increase metabolism.
  • Ginger and turmeric are anti-inflammatory and also aid in digestion.
